When can I use this method?
For cubing numbers near 10.
The number can be either < or > 10.
One can use this method to cube numbers away from 10 as long as it is comfortable to cube the difference portions.

- This method uses the concept (10 + a)3 = [(10 + 3a) 102] + [(3a2) 10] + [a3], where ‘(10 + a)’ is the number near 10 and ‘a’ is the difference.
- Whenever the number is more than 10, the difference is written as positive (+ve).
- Whenever the number is less than 10, the difference is written as negative (-ve).
