- This method uses the concept (1000 + a)
^{2}= [(1000 + a) + a] + a^{2}, where ‘(1000 + a)’ is the number near 1000 and ‘a’ is the difference. - Whenever the number is more than 1000, the difference is written as positive (+ve).
